a miracle, mixaphorically speaking.

whenever I do activities, I play a movie in the background.
Today, while winding down from a snow day and cleaning my room I put on "Miracle" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"

Both are excellent movies, but polar opposites.
but, maybe I'm going out on a limb, they are shockingly the same idea. Both retell a famous story! WOAH
"Miracle" is about the olympic hockey teams underdog victory over Russia at Lake Placid. It's an uplifting, typical, sports movie. That's why I love it though. It combines my love of hockey with my love of movies with my love of kurt russel with my love of the song Dream On.
The acting is subpar, but come on. It's a disney movie, if you're expecting oscars, dream on. Kurt Russel does great though. It's my favorite film of his, escape from new york being a close second.

On a more Coen brothers note, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" is a retelling of Homer's epic poem, The Odyssey, in an excellent way. The songs from this movie get stuck in my head for hours. I can't tell you how many times I've sung "Man of Constant Sorrow." I also love to watch this movie and pick out the parallels between The Odyssey. Homer himself is given a cowrite credit, which I find awesome.
The movie is perfect for any Coen brothers, country music, Homer, treasure hunt, or just quirky/funny movie fan. It's epic (pun)

I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.

For three years, my life has been void of something great. I've been sitting, waiting, wishing for the day when I would once again get to see my favorite cast of characters fill the screen. "Arrested Development" was on for three short seasons, but ever since it was cancelled by Fox in 2006, it has been constantly playing either in quotes in my head, or on my dvd player (I own all three seasons on DVD and can recite multiple episodes because of my extensive viewing).
The show was critically acclaimed by dozens of reviewers and well adored by it's fanbase, but sadly the ratings were never up to par with Fox's needs for the show. Luckily, the handful of people who did enjoy the show, myself wholeheartedly included, never gave up and took the close of the final episode as a sign... "I don't see it as a T.V. show, maybe a movie though?"

Multiple sources found when you google "arrested development movie" say that it is a defintie go, but none are %100 reliable. Jason Bateman is supposedly on, as well as Jeffrey Tambor. The IMDB page tells me that it's "in production," my fingers are crossed for a 2010 movie, which would just make my laugh.

In the event of a movie though, there are certain demands I must make.
1. Don't compromise George Michael just because Michael Cera is a big star now.
2. Don't commercialize it too much, keep some of the running jokes running. "Her?" and "It's an Illusion." and a Franklin duet and so many other quirky long term jokes are what made the show for me, and if they're replaced to make the movie more receptable to audiences, the movie would not be able to compare to the show. I saw "The Wrestler."
I was grotesquely grossed out.
but i liked it
The acting was superb, as everyone else has been saying but I also enjoyed the plot. It was touching and revealed a scary world to me that I was unaware of. I don't really know what to say about it that hasn't been said, but I did like it and would recommend it to anyone that doesn't mind blood and nudity. I wouldn't recommend seeing it with a someone you could feel awkward around. BUT SEE IT

moving on, I've been watching a lot of films so

"AMERICAN TEEN" WAS SO HEARTBREAKING AND EMOTIONALLY DRAINING.
it follows a group of seniors during their last year of high school and chronicles all the typical high school stuff, and as a high school student I really related to it. I felt so involved with each of the characters by the end of the film, I was driven by their dreams and hurt by their actions. I don't know, it was weird, but I felt like I knew each of the kids? I'm pretty sure that's what the director, Nannette Burstein, was going for and it definitely makes the movie a lot more enjoyable. I cried a lot. =[

Ok, one more amazing movie I've seen is "Horton Hears a Who."

I was skeptical at first because "Aw man, this is animated it's going to be boring because it's a bunch of baby jokes and Dr. Seuss and blah blah blah," but it was really good. There were certain scenes when I was just cracking up for several minutes. Also, I was really impressed by the religous undertones? Maybe because I'm a good ten years older than the target age group I just couldn't escape the "there is someone bigger than our world who is always protecting us" and the "I believe in that dude, so I'm going to be ridiculed and tortured." It was so interwoven into a cute comedy, and usually I would despise this, but it just made the movie a million times cuter. This is the perfect movie to watch when you are on the verge of a three hour nap after a long morning.

what do people scream when they see you coming?

While battling a cold, trying to remain sane while watching "The Wizard of Oz" for the millionth time, and my grandpa's complaints about BRUCE, I managed to see a total of 20 minutes of the Super Bowl, most of them commercials.

Three things managed to stick out in this short time, the first being that record setting interception(pick?), but I already forgot what team it was on or who ran that much so I'll move on. Second was the Conan O'brien commercial shown below.

and third was the 3D glasses scheme. I tried desperately to get my hands on a pair, but the young members of the household hoarded them, so I was left in the dust. They were some advertisement for the new movie "Monsters vs. Aliens" which looks pretty cool from the preview. It has Seth Rogen in it, and I find his voice oddly appealing? Is that weird? I don't know, but it's nice. Also, Kiefer! I love Kiefer. The plot goes a little like this : girl gets hit by meteor, girl gets big and is called a monster, government puts her with other monsters, aliens come, the two groups fight.



If the plot doesn't seem great to you, don't worry. The real thing pushing this movie over the edge is that it is 3D and Imax. Personally, that's too much going on and would cause a big headache but I could imagine a 5 year old getting blown away. It comes out in March so if your into silly movies I would check it out, but personally if I had to choose one animated film to see it would be Pixar's "Up," I'm a sucker for anything Pixar and cranky old men movies.

OH according to NBC don't "chuck" your glasses because that lame show "Chuck" is in 3D tonight? whatever whatever whatever.
